DIMENSIONS
Dimensions of the spiral with the plug are as follows:
d – internal diameter
D – external diameter,
L – length of the spiral part
and the length and position of the free ends:
L1 – from the strain relief to the spiral, minimum 30mm,
L2 – length of the free end and the method of its preparationfor connection to be agreed with the client each time.
CONSTRUCTION
Due to the need to maintain the usability of appliances in different European countries, the plugs have
a so-called hybrid plug design, often referred to as „uni-schuko”. This design allows different variants to be plugged in, i.e. both German (variant “F”) and French (variant “E” also valid in Poland).
The other end of the cable is prepared for connecting the receiver according to the client’s specifications (strain relief, wire end processing). Installation and use should comply with safety regulations.
Spiral cable
subjected to a special process that gives it the shape and properties of a spring, operates within a certain range of distances while maintaining its shape. This feature is particularly useful for connecting devices where the distance between them changes during operation. The straight and coiled sections of the cable are selected according to the specific application.
Due to the elastic interaction of the coiled part (spiral) that can cause unwanted stresses in the connected elements (e.g. plug socket),the following considerations should be taken into account:
- Non-rewireable plugs with a coiled cable can only be used to connect fixed or movable devices;
- The connected device should be positioned so that the power cable is approximately parallel
to the mounting surface of the socket; - The correctness of the socket mounting should be checked before connecting the device.
