Two-pole, non-rewireable (angled) CEE 7/7 power plug with two earthing contact systems (class I), moulded on spiralized cable

UNI-SCHUKO angled CEE 7/7 power plug on spiralized cable
TYPE:
  • CEE 7/7
NORMATIVE REVERENCES:
  • PN-IEC 60884-1
APPLICATIONS
For fixed installation or use in dry areas. Not suitable for outdoor use, i.e. in the ground or in water. May not be laid in areas exposed to harsh weather conditions.For connecting mobile receivers in dry and damp rooms, with medium mechanical load (eg. household appliances).Used in damp rooms, inside appliances under ordinary duty (e.g.: washing machines, centrifuges, dryers, refrigerators, portable household or workshop appliances) if permitted by the relevant equipment regulations.For connecting audio and video devices and household appliances, in light duty, in dry rooms and offices.Used inside or outside of luminaires, where there is no danger of contact with hot parts and no exposure to radiation.On the basis of separate arrangements, some types of cables can be made in a spiral version - additional symbol "r", e.g. QTLYr.

DIMENSIONS

Dimensions of the spiral with the plug
Dimensions of the spiral with the plug are as follows:
d – internal diameter
D – external diameter,
L – length of the spiral part
and the length and position of the free ends:
L1 – from the strain relief to the spiral, minimum 30mm,
L2 – length of the free end and the method of its preparationfor connection to be agreed with the client each time.

CONSTRUCTION

Due to the need to maintain the usability of appliances in different European countries, the plugs have
a so-called hybrid plug design, often referred to as „uni-schuko”. This design allows different variants to be plugged in, i.e. both German (variant “F”) and French (variant “E” also valid in Poland).

The other end of the cable is prepared for connecting the receiver according to the client’s specifications (strain relief, wire end processing). Installation and use should comply with safety regulations.

Spiral cable

subjected to a special process that gives it the shape and properties of a spring, operates within a certain range of distances while maintaining its shape. This feature is particularly useful for connecting devices where the distance between them changes during operation. The straight and coiled sections of the cable are selected according to the specific application.

Due to the elastic interaction of the coiled part (spiral) that can cause unwanted stresses in the connected elements (e.g. plug socket),the following considerations should be taken into account:

  • Non-rewireable plugs with a coiled cable can only be used to connect fixed or movable devices;
  • The connected device should be positioned so that the power cable is approximately parallel
    to the mounting surface of the socket;
  • The correctness of the socket mounting should be checked before connecting the device.
