The dimensions of the spiral, i.e.
the inner diameter (d) or outer diameter (D),
the length of the spiral section (L), as well as the length and position of the free ends
(L1), (L2), are subject to arrangements with the customer.
SPIRALIZING
Spiral cables are used to connect devices where distances change during device operation.
In such cases, it is crucial for manyreasons that the cable does not hang loosely, as this could expose it to damage or interfere with the device’s operation. The solution in suchsituations is a spiral cable, which undergoes a special process to give it the shape and properties of a spring, retaining these characteristics evenafter many thousands of stretching cycles.
We manufacture spirals from cables with PVC or polyurethane (PUR) sheathing – both glossy and matte. The distinguishing featuresof spirals made from PUR cables are high elasticity and the ability to stretch up to 3-4 times the length of the spiral in its resting state.
We handle the production of spirals with non-standard constructions, varying wire cross-sections, and diameters (e.g., shielded wires),as well as spiraling entrusted wires (as a service), adhering to customer documentation or specifications. We also produce spirals from cotton, polyester, and Kevlar cords with a polyurethane sheath.
We produce both long and very short spirals. In long spirals, the spiral part can be up to 1500mm in its resting state, while short spirals consisting of just a few coils help reduce material fatigue and wire breakage when frequent bending of the cable over a short distance and at a sharp angle is required.
